NRA BASIC PISTOL COURSE   $50

The National Rifle Association (NRA) Basic Pistol Course is the platform from which other advanced courses are taught.  This course is recognized nationally as the pinnacle of basic pistol instruction.  Several states use this course as the prerequisite for obtaining a concealed handgun license.  This course is approximately 8 hours in length and is divided into a classroom instruction period and a range session.  Once students complete the classroom and range portion of the course, they are prepared to safely participate in learning more advanced skills.  Lessons: 1. Pistol Knowledge and Safe Gun Handling, 2. Ammunition Knowledge and Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting, 3. Firing the First Shots, 4. Scoring Targets/Selecting and Maintaining a Pistol, and 5. Continued Operations for Skill Development.

What is required: UNLOADED Pistol, 50 rounds of ammunition (SAAMI* Specification), eye and ear protection, head cover, closed toe shoes and socks.

NRA BASIC RIFLE COURSE      $50

The National Rifle Association (NRA) Basic Rifle Course is the platform from which other advanced rifle courses are taught.  This course is designed to teach the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a rifle safely.  This course is approximately 8 hours in length and is divided into a classroom instruction period and a range session. Lessons: 1. Rifle Knowledge and Safe Gun Handling, 2. Ammunition Knowledge and Fundamentals of Safe Rifle Operations, 3. Fundamentals of Rifle Marksmanship, 4. Proper Cleaning and Storage, 5. Firing the First Shots, and 6. Shooting Sports and related activities

What is required: UNLOADED Rifle, 50 rounds of ammunition (SAAMI* Specification), eye and ear protection, head cover, closed toe shoes and socks.

TEXAS LICENSE TO CARRY (LTC) CERTIFICATION COURSE      $65

Obtaining a Concealed Handgun License for the State of Texas requires successful completion of a minimum of 4 to 6 hour certification course which is outlined by the Texas Department of Public Safety.  This course covers topics on: 1. The use of force, 2. Gun safety, 3. Gun storage, 4. Conflict resolution, and 5. Texas laws regulating concealed handgun license holders.  Upon completion of the course, you must qualify with a handgun in accordance with DPS course of fire, and pass a 25 question exam.  A student must apply to the state and pay the current fees and undergo a complete background check for the state to issue a license.  Applicants may complete their State of Texas Online Application which includes all application questions, affidavits and payment arrangements.

What is required: UNLOADED Pistol (at least .32 caliber), 50 rounds of ammunition (SAAMI* Specification), eye and ear protection, closed toe shoes and socks.

PRIVATE ONE-ON-ONE INSTRUCTION    $50 PER HOUR

Private instruction is available for beginning and advanced levels for individuals or families.  Private instruction is the best way to become more capable and confident with the firearm of your choice.  Your instructor will assess your level of skill and proficiency and take it from there. 

What is required: UNLOADED Pistol or Rifle, minimum of 100 round of ammunition (SAAMI* Specification), eye and ear protection, closed toe shoes and socks.

GUN SAFETY      $25

Classroom instruction that includes pistol and rifle knowledge and safe gun handling.  This is a great class for your children to become familiar with firearms and have hands-on experience with an unloaded firearm in a safe setting.

Most courses will require a 4 student minimum at the published rate.  For classes below that number there will be an additional $10 surcharge to help cover range fees.
